- U2 HA/ Ti Hip Stem has a Ti base material plasma sprayed with commercial pure titanium powder to create rough surface
and then coated with hydroxyapatite to ensure biological fixation.

It is concluded from researches that the most suitable neck-shaft angle of hip stem is between 125° and 134° , United U2 Hip Stem uses 130°
neck angle which provides better range of motion.
The 130° neck angle also increases hip stem offset that can effectively increase the moment arm of abductor muscles. By decreasing joint reaction force, patients will need less effort on walking the possibility of limping will be reduced, and the wear debris of polyethylene will also be decreased to prevent osteolysis. |

To avoid stress shielding and increase torsion stability, United U2 Hip Stem is designed with distal 2/5 Fluted and Polished Surface. It assures initial stability, reduces micro motion, and minimizes incidence of thigh pain. The distal stem of low stiffness can help maintain the load distribution through the proximal part of stem, thus ensures long-term fixation. |
